Hell Creek banner

Banner for Hell Creek's Banner Design Contest [link] . This is my first attempt for digital art in like 3 years, and I've never been good at digital art to begin with, so don't judge this work too hard. It was good practice though, and it also turned out to be fun which was unexpected. Anyway, digital work still is not my cup of tea, so I'm going to keep it mostly to traditional art.

Mixed media: traditional (pencil and ink) lineart + digital painting and photomanipulation (Photoshop CS3).

Background- the photo is mine, taken in September 2010 during field work with group of paleontologists. It shows sedimentary sequence with miocene age (12-7 Ma, if I remember correct) located in Southwest Bulgaria.
