Description
Orthacanthus bohemicus. Pencil, 2010.
This is reconstruction of the specimen NMMNH P-20406 which is representing a juvenile individual. If anyone has some complaints about the proportions of the shark keep in mind that this is not an adult specimen thus the proportions are probably different.
References: The reconstruction is based on skeletal drawing from "Recent Advances in the Origin and Early Radiation of Vertebrates".
As additional references were used artworks by from the book "Les Requins sont-ils des fossiles vivants ?" (also some artworks from his DA gallery). Wikipedia's reconstruction of Orthacanthus by served as secondary reference image.
